Enjoy With Tourism | Fort Marlborough | Fort Marlborough is an old fort built in 1713 and 1719 by the British East India. As a British colonial heritage Marlborough is located on the main street of Bengkulu. Inside the building there is a subway that connects to the outside. This will be the second strongest fortress by the British in the east after Fort George in Madras is India building. Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles in 1817 by the British government as lieutenant governor Bengcoolen (Bengkulu) appointed during his reign, a botanist, Joseph Arnold, the world's largest flower in the district of Manna, Bengkulu southern part, and to find out Rafflesia Arnoldi flower known. British ruled the region for over 100 years, and in 1825 under an agreement in London, the government submitted to the Dutch to Indonesia after Independence in 1945.
